About
Sunju Park, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences and Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Park manages adult strabismus in addition to practicing comprehensive pediatric eye care. She is committed to providing the highest quality care to both her adult and pediatric patients.
After graduating from Amherst College with a degree in Chemistry, Dr. Park went on to receive her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was elected to be Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Park went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus, and Ocular Genetics at the Cole Eye Institute of Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Park’s research interests include investigating health literacy, access to care, and assessing the education of medical trainees. She is also interested in better understanding the obstacles that children with systemic disorders face in obtaining the multidisciplinary care they need. She has authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as textbook chapters.
Dr. Park is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Women In Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
