Sandip Parshottam Tarpada, MD

Dr. Sandip Tarpada is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon with White Plains Hospital Physician Associates. He specializes in the surgical treatment of complex fractures, pelvic and acetabular injuries, and other traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system, including polytrauma, nonunions, and malunions.

Dr. Tarpada completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical System, one of the nation's highest-volume trauma centers. He earned his bachelor's degree in Neurobiology and Behavior, magna cum laude, from Cornell University, and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was selected as Education Chief Resident.

Dr. Tarpada is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and an active member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), where he serves on multiple commmittees. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at numerus national and international meetings. His work has been recognized recently with the presigous Edwin G. Bovill Jr. Memorial Research Award. He is committed to delivering timely, evidence-based, and compassionate fracture care in order to help his patients return to back to function after injury.
