Ayse Okur, MD

Ayse Okur, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Okur’s clinical focus centers on general anesthesiology, ensuring patients’ comfort before, during and after surgery.

After earning her Doctor of Medicine at Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey, in 2015, Dr. Okur completed her residency in anesthesiology and reanimation at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Goztepe Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul, in 2021. Following this, Dr. Okur moved to the United States to continue her medical training, completing a neuroanesthesiology fellowship at Montefiore Einstein in 2025.

Dr. Okur is certified by the Ministry of Health in Turkey as an Anesthesiology Specialist. She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care and the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology.
