Myrian M. Alea, MD

Myrian M. Alea, MD, FAAP, is Director, Operations, Pediatric Emergency Division at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical interest and focus is in child maltreatment advocacy and acute pediatric emergency illnesses.

After earning her Doctor of Medicine at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dr. Alea came to the United States to further her postgraduate medical training, completing her pediatric residency at New York Medical College in 1991. Dr. Alea is board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
