About

Dr. Pandit received her MD and MPH degrees from Columbia and stayed on to complete her residency in Emergency Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Pandit was recruited to faculty at Columbia where she led global health programs and medical school courses, and served as Director of Faculty Development and Director of Educational Program Development for Columbia Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Pandit completed the Medical Education Research Certification process through the AAMC and has participated in the Harvard Macy Institute courses for Educators and Assessments. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) through the NYU-Maastricht program. Dr. Pandit is deeply engaged with the AAMC Northeast Group on Educational Affairs (NEGEA), including having served as the co-chair of the 2024 annual regional 3-day conference and now serving as chair-elect for the NEGEA group as a whole. She has published and has been a regular presenter at local, regional, and national conferences on topics in emergency medicine, wilderness medicine, medical education, and faculty development. She leads a multi-institutional international collaboration on assessment and evaluation of teaching in the health professions.

In her role at Einstein, Dr. Pandit has been providing new educational content to support faculty in their growth, serving on several institutional committees, and working to bring elements of Einstein’s strategic plan to fruition, all to help faculty flourish at Einstein and beyond.  Her main activities include organizing virtual and in-person faculty development events such as workshops and retreats.  She has launched the innovative faculty developers' community of practice to bring together faculty developers from across the institution.  She has advised numerous faculty individually to support their career development, and is working to improve the feedback that faculty receive on their teaching.
