Sophia Lee, NP

Sophia Lee is a Thrombosis Nurse Practitioner, specializing in the management of venous and arterial thromboembolic disorders, as well as conditions requiring anticoagulation therapy. Working within a multidisciplinary team, Ms. Lee delivers care across both the inpatient and outpatient settings at the Moses and Weiler campuses, ensuring safe and effective anticoagulation management, patient education, perioperative planning and thrombosis risk mitigation.

Ms. Lee joined Montefiore Einstein in 2014 as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Step-Down Unit, where she managed care for acutely and chronically ill patients with complex conditions such as end-stage renal disease (ESRD), end-stage liver disease, sepsis, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), gastrointestinal bleeding and cardiac arrhythmias. She also provided post-operative care for patients recovering from general surgery, gastric bypass and cardiac catheterization. In 2016, Ms. Lee transferred to the Adult Emergency Department, where she was a registered nurse delivering high-acuity emergency care and triage for patients with conditions including stroke, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, head trauma, penetrating injuries, toxic ingestions, overdose, sexual assault and psychiatric crises. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nurse Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner from Rutgers State University.

Ms. Lee holds certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is fluent in Korean and English.
