Sameera S. Vangara, MD

Sameera Vangara, MD, is an attending physician and Instructor in obstetrics and gynecology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Vangara’s clinical focus is on obstetrics, gynecology, public health, health policy, medical school and resident education. She is a devoted patient advocate, with interests in public and global health, medical ethics, and interested in public and global health and medical ethics.

In 2013, Dr. Vangara graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology. She then attended the Miller School of Medicine at University of Miami, earning her medical degree in 2018. She completed her residency at State University of New York Downstate, Kings County Hospital in 2022, taking on the role of administrative chief resident in her final year.

Dr. Vangara’s research follows her interest in obstetrics, gynecology and healthy policy. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed publications and shared through poster presentations.
