Michelle L. Hertzberg, MD

Michelle Hertzberg, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Montefiore Einstein[1.1]. Dr. Hertzberg’s clinical focus is orthopedic trauma, including fractures of the upper and lower extremities, the pelvis and the acetabulum (hip socket).

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in biology from SUNY Binghamton University in 2016, Dr. Hertzberg attended New York Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2020. She pursued her medical training at Henry Ford Hospital, completing her orthopedic surgery residency in 2025, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Hertzberg went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2026.

Dr. Hertzberg’s research focuses on social determinants of health, patient outcomes and quality improvement. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals and podium and poster presentations at regional and national meetings.
