About
Lee Squitieri, MD, PhD, MS is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Squitieri’s clinical interests include general plastic and orthopedic reconstruction, particularly of the breast and lower extremities. She is also interested in aesthetic surgery, especially procedures involving the breasts and abdomen.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Dr. Squitieri completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Southern California in 2020. She then earned her Doctor of Philosophy in health policy and management from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following this, Dr. Squitieri went into a foundational practice for 2 years during the COVID-19 pandemic with a simultaneous physician policy researcher appointment at RAND Corporation. She then completed a reconstructive microsurgery fellowship at the City of Hope in Los Angeles in the summer of 2023.
Dr. Squitieri’s research interests include diabetic lower extremity wounds, pressure ulcers, health disparities and physician wellness. Her work has been shared through multiple peer-reviewed publications.
