
Monika Paroder, MD, PhD
About
Monika Paroder, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pathology and serves as Medical Director of the Cellular Therapy Laboratory and co-director of Transfusion Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Paroder received her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and earned her MD and PhD degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine at the New York Blood Center. Dr. Paroder is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and holds board certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as in Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking. Her academic and research interests center on cellular therapeutics, with particular emphasis on apheresis, cell processing, and transfusion medicine as they relate to cellular therapy. Dr. Paroder has contributed to several book chapters and has had her research published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals.
