About

Maria Ajaimy, MD, earned her medical degree at Lebanese University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. She completed a clinical fellowship in the Renal Division at SUNY downstate, NY, followed by a clinical transplant fellowship in the Renal Division at BIDMC, Harvard teaching hospital. Dr. Ajaimy is a UNOS certified transplant nephrologist and brings to Montefiore more than a decade of expertise in kidney and kidney-pancreas transplantation. Dr. Ajaimy is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nephrology. Dr. Ajaimy is a member of several societies. She has been the principal investigator in several trials and has written numerous articles on complex issues in kidney transplantation.
