Georg C. Rohe, MD

Georg C. Rohe, MD, DESAIC, EDIC, is an attending anesthesiologist at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Rohe has comprehensive experience in pediatric anesthesiology. His specialties also include critical care medicine, emergency medicine and medical quality management.

Dr. Rohe earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Münster in Münster, Germany, in 1994. He completed his postgraduate training and residency in anesthesiology from 1994 to 2000 at University Medicine Oldenburg and University Medicine Greifswald, Germany, parallel to his fellowship in prehospital emergency medicine. In 1996, he completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Greifswald. From 2004 to 2005, he completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Klinikum Oldenburg, University Medicine Oldenburg. Dr. Rohe holds the diploma of the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and the diploma of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.

Dr. Rohe has a particular interest in perioperative hemostasis and hemotherapy and in the research of delirium in critical care patients. He has authored textbooks in the field of prehospital emergency medicine and textbook chapters in anesthesiology and in intensive care medicine. He is also a reviewer for BMC Anesthesiology.

Dr. Rohe is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and the German Interdisciplinary Association of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI), among others.
