About

Alice Lee, MD, is Director, Early Phase Clinical Trials program and Director, Pediatric Sarcoma program at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lee’s clinical focus is on the treatment of children and young adults with sarcomas. She also has special interest in novel treatments for children with relapsed or refractory cancers.

In 1998, Dr. Lee earned her Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. She began her postgraduate training with her pediatric residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, completing it in 2001. She then pursued a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Columbia University, completing it in 2004.

Dr. Lee’s research focuses on the development of new treatments for children with cancer through clinical trials. In addition to creating and leading the Pediatric Oncology Early Phase Clinical Trials program, Dr. Lee is leader of the Pediatric Oncology research program, including being the Institutional Principal Investigator for the Children’s Oncology Group, which is the world’s largest pediatric oncology research consortium. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Lee is a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, the Journal of Global Oncology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology Precision Oncology.

Dr. Lee is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, among others.
