About

Lynn F. Davidson, MD, FAAP, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Pediatrics, at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Davidson’s clinical focus is on treating children with special healthcare needs, with an interest in treating those with autism, attention deficit disorder and cerebral palsy. She provides comprehensive, coordinated and culturally appropriate care to a large population of diverse patients.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in 1977, Dr. Davidson earned her Doctor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1982. She pursued her postdoctoral training at Einstein, completing a three-year residency in pediatrics in 1985.

Dr. Davidson’s research focuses on the successful transition of youth with special healthcare needs into the adult medical system. She is involved in education, research, and quality improvement initiatives for healthcare transitions, both locally and nationally. She has been principal investigator and co-investigator on several research projects and her work has been presented regionally, and nationally. Her work has also been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, and posters.

Dr. Davidson is board certified in Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and she is a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Academic Pediatrics Association. She is a former member of the AAP executive committee of the Council on Children with Disabilities. She has served as co-chair of the District 2, Chapter 3 Committee on Children and Disabilities since 2007. In 2013, Dr. Davidson received the Special Achievement Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics for her leadership in creating and launching a successful conference, “Transitions to Adult Care: Children With and Without Special Health Care Needs”. In 2015, Dr. Davidson was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society for outstanding achievement in teaching medical students. She also received the Teaching Star – Teaching Commendation Letter from Montefiore Einstein for the 2024-25 Academic Year.
