About
Kris B. Bevilacqua, PhD, is Clinical Psychologist at Montefiore. Her clinical focus is on the emotional challenges faced by patients exploring infertility treatment, in particular, helping patients who are using donor eggs or donor sperm process the transition from using their own genetic material to using that of a donor.
Dr. Bevilacqua attended the New School of Social Research, first receiving her Master of Arts in psychology before earning her Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology in 1996.
The research of Dr. Bevilacqua focuses on emotional responses to the need for infertility treatment, using donor gametes, pregnancy loss and reproductive traumas. Her research investigates the links between psychological state and physiological response or treatment outcome. She has presented at national conferences and her work has been published in many reviewed journals as well as newsletters and websites intended for the general public.
Dr. Bevilacqua is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
