J. Leonard DiRe, MD

J. Leonard DiRe, MD, FACC, is an attending physician, Cardiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. DiRe’s focus is on clinical cardiology, including the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease

A summa cum laude graduate of Tufts University, after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in biology and classics in 1982, Dr. DiRe attended Albany Medical College, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1986. He completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1989, then continued is postdoctoral training with a cardiology fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center, completing it in 1991.

Dr. DiRe is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
