Zhengrui Xiao, MD

Zhengrui Xiao, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical focus is in benign hematology.

After completing his Bachelor of Medicine in 2014 at Nanjing Medical University in Nanjing, China, Dr. Xiao earned his Master of Medicine in hematology at the same institution in 2016 and completed residency training in hematology. He then came to the United States for postgraduate training, completing an internal medicine internship and residency at Jacobi Medical Center and Einstein in 2020, followed by a three-year hematology and oncology fellowship at Montefiore Einstein in 2023.

Dr. Xiao’s research focuses on autoimmune hematology including immune thrombocytopenia and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, and poster and oral presentations.

Dr. Xiao is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology. In 2022, he received the Abstract Achievement Award from the American Society of Hematology.
