Howard Tarkin, MD

Dr. Howard Tarkin is a board-certified cardiologist who earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Dr. Tarkin has been employed at a number of area institutions, including North Central Bronx Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Hudson Valley Cardiology, and most recently at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley – Cardiology. He served as both the chair of the Quality Clinical Resource Committee and as assistant chair of the peer review committee at Hudson Valley Hospital.
