Beth Edelblute, MD

Beth Edelblute, MD, MPH, is Director, Subintern Clerkship, Urology at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Urology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Edelblute’s clinical focus is in endourologic and robotic surgery. She specializes in kidney stone surgery including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), as well as robotic surgical techniques in the treatment of benign urologic conditions including urinary tract reconstruction and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) procedures.

In 2012, Dr. Edelblute completed her Bachelor of Science in biology at Northeastern University. She then attended Columbia University, earning her Master of Public Health from the institution’s Mailman School of Public Health in 2017 and her Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2018. She completed her residency in general surgery and urology at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2023, followed by a fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery at Montefiore Einstein in 2024.

Dr. Edelblute’s research focuses on urologic health, with a particular focus on kidney stone prevention in diverse urban populations. She is deeply committed to the education of the next generation of physicians, with academic interests spanning medical student and resident medical education. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented through abstracts and case reports.

Dr. Edelblute is a member of the American Urological Association.
