Valerian Hazan, MD

Valerian Hazan, MD, is a pediatrician at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on general pediatrics, from newborn to adult.

Dr. Hazan obtained his Doctor of Medicine at Bucharest Medical Institute in Bucharest, Romania, in 1984. He later came to the United States and continued his medical training, completing an internship and residency in pediatrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 1991.

Dr. Hazan is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has held the American Academy of Pediatrics PREP Education Award since 1997 and the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education since 1998. From 2007 to 2008, Dr. Hazan won the Montefiore Service Excellence Award based on excellent Press-Ganey scores.
