About
Aravind Pothula, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pothula’s clinical focus centers on hand and peripheral nerve surgery, with particular expertise in treating soft-tissue and bony conditions of the hand and wrist, as well as adult brachial plexus disorders.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine from New Jersey Medical School in 2006, Dr. Pothula completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2012. Following this, Dr. Pothula completed a fellowship in hand, peripheral nerve and microsurgery at Washington University School of Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Pothula’s research centers on improving patient outcomes in hand and peripheral nerve surgery, with a focus on advancing evidence-based care and surgical techniques. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Pothula is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand, reflecting his advanced expertise in this field.
