Glenn E. Mann, MD, is Division Chief, Pediatric Anesthesiology; Director, Clinical Faculty Staffing and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Mann’s clinical focus is on the anesthetic care of pediatric patients, with particular interest in solid organ transplantation, neonatal surgery, regional anesthesia, anesthetic care outside of the operating room and the reduction of opioid use in pediatric perioperative care.

In 1999, Dr. Mann received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University. He began his medical education at Boston University School of Medicine, earning his Master of Arts in 2002. In 2006, he earned his Doctor of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. For his postdoctoral training, he completed an internal medicine internship at North Shore University Hospital in 2007, followed by an anesthesiology residency at New York University in 2010. Dr. Mann then pursued a postdoctoral residency fellowship in anesthesiology at Columbia University and a clinical fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, completing both in 2011.

Dr. Mann’s research interests include non-opioid analgesia in pediatric tonsillectomy, enhanced recovery after surgery protocols and the use of augmented reality in airway education. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, books, review articles, abstracts, poster presentations and lectures.

Dr. Mann is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology. He is a member of several professional societies including the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, the Society for the Advancement of Transplant Anesthesia and the International Anesthesia Research Society.
