Kavita Vani, MD

Kavita Vani, MD, is Director, Fourth Trimester & Postpartum Services at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Maternal-Fetal Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Vani's clinical focus includes prenatal and postpartum care for patients with high-risk pregnancies and ultrasound during pregnancy.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Columbia University in 2010, Dr. Vani earned her Doctor of Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2014. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2018, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Montefiore Einstein in 2022.

Dr. Vani is interested in developing evidence-based, patient-centered care models for patients with high-risk pregnancies, particularly during the postpartum period. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters and review articles and she has shared her work through many abstracts and invited presentations.

Dr. Vani is an active Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
