About
Benjamin Cedars, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Urology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Cedars specializes in genitourinary reconstruction, including urethral strictures, fistula repair, upper urinary tract obstruction, urinary diversion and prosthetics for incontinence and erectile dysfunction.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in both neuroscience and French from Bowdoin College in 2011, Dr. Cedars earned his Doctor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 2019 and completed his residency at the University of California, San Diego in 2024. He went on to complete a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2025.
Dr. Cedars’ research focuses primarily on urologic reconstruction, with particular emphasis on improving patient outcomes. His work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications and abstracts.
Dr. Cedars is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS).
