Rachel George, NP

Ms. George currently works in medical oncology, with a focus on head and neck surgical oncology. She has strong leadership skills and extensive experience across the healthcare industry.

Ms. George has worked at Montefiore since 2009 in various positions, including as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the OR and Nurse Practitioner in Vascular Surgery and Neurosurgery. She earned her RN license in 1995. Before joining Montefiore Einstein, Ms. George worked as a Nursing Supervisor at Rego Park Nursing Care Center, as the Director of Nursing at Elmhurst Care Center and as an Administrative Nurse Manager at St. Johns Riverside Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in health administration and Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University. Ms. George earned her Family Nurse Practitioner/Master of Nursing at the College of New Rochelle in 2018, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Dominican University in 2020. She holds certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Ms. George is a member of the Nurse Practitioners Association (NPA), the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has given various presentations at The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State.
