About
Erik B. Romanelli, MD, is an attending anesthesiologist, Residency Program Director of Anesthesiology, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Romanelli is a devoted clinician-educator with expertise in post-cesarean analgesia, judicious opioid prescription and pre-eclampsia.
In 2007, Dr. Romanelli received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St.Louis. He later pursued his medical education at Tulane University School of Medicine, completing a combined Doctor of Medicine and Masters of Public Health degree in Health Systems Management. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Montefiore Medical Center in 2017, followed by a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in 2018.
Dr. Romanelli’s research interests build on his clinical focus. He has shared his research through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, posters and invited presentations.
Dr. Romanelli is board-certified in Anesthesiology. In 2022, Dr. Romanelli was recognized with the Excellence in Teaching Award from Montefiore Einstein’s Department of Anesthesiology.
